University Transcriptions are based in North Wales, with our company offices located just outside the market town of Mold in Llanarmon-yn-Ial and our administrative offices situated close to Denbigh. We are registered suppliers for a number of Welsh academic institutions locally and are listed on the Sell2Wales database.
From our offices we are looking out across the Clwydian Hills and towards the Offas Dyke path (some of our staff plan to do this when they have packed all the children off in years to come!). We work with Universities across Wales, including Bangor University, Glyndwr University, Cardiff University, Swansea University, University of Wales – Trinity St Davids, as well as government institutions including Public Health Wales.
Over the years we have also worked for non-academic clients (via our business transcription services – TP Transcription) in locations as diverse as Holywell, Flint, St Asaph, Ewloe, Hawarden, Mold, Denbigh, Ruthin, Wrexham, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Prestatyn, Caernarfon, Llanrwst, Porthmadog, Pwllheli, Newtown, Welshpool, Aberystwyth, Llandrindod Wells, Lampeter, Merthyr Tydfil, Abergavenny, Camarthen, Port Talbot, Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Neath, Llanelli, Haverfordwest and Tenby.
We also work across Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and England with a wide range of academic institutions and clients.
We are specialists for UK regional accents and dialects, as well as transcription in Welsh and also transcription/translation from Welsh to English and English to Welsh. Please click here for details of our dialect and accent transcription services. We do not charge extra to transcribe ‘hard to hear’ voices speaking English with a strong Welsh accent, regardless of how ‘strong’ the accents are.
