Academic Transcription Recruitment

We regularly require transcriptionists for ongoing remote contract work. We seek IT literate transcribers, preferably with experience of academic transcription, who are available to deal with a caseload on a regular basis. We operate a stringent application including speed and accuracy testing.

Essential Requirements:

• Typing speed of 70 wpm+.
• Based in the UK.
• Fluent English Language (mother tongue level) ability.
• Available to commit to around 10 hours a week or more.

We are particularly interested in graduate transcribers with Jeffersonian Transcription systems, Subtitling and Closed Captioning experience – particularly with transcribing .SRT files and YouTube video transcriptions.

We are on the lookout for experienced ‘subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing’ transcribers.
